What You'll Need
- Valid passport
- Digital copy of passport’s front and back pages
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Valid email address and phone number
- Access to an international airport (upcoming trip) or FRRO for biometric submission
- Kids below 12, and elderly above 70 won’t be able to register for FTI-TTP as of now
FTI-TTP Registration Steps
The FTI-TTP program offers several advantages that make international travel more convenient:
1. Account Creation
- Visit the official FTI website
- Register using your email address and phone number
2. Submit your Application
- Fill in your passport details accurately
- Upload Documents
- Photo
- Passport Front
- Passport Back
- During application, you may come across ECR or Non-ECR category, check your passport if you are stamped as ECR. Generally everyone is Non-ECR

3. Select Biometric Location
You have two options for submitting your biometrics:
- FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office)
- Immigration Check Posts at International Airports
- Choose from available airports where you plan to travel next
- Convenient option if you have upcoming international travel
4. Application Review Process
Your application will be reviewed by authorities, in our case I had one resubmission of photo as it wasn’t clear but for Shruti it was clear. You shall receive email as soon as your application is processed and ready for Biometric

5. Biometric Submission
- Visit your selected airport during your next international travel
- Speak to Immigration officer for biometric submission counter.
- At Mumbai Airport, there was only one counter near business and first class immigration counters at the extreme right in departures.
Viola, you can use the e-gates next time you are arriving or departing from the Indian airports. You shall receive confirmation email as well for the same along with validity.

How much time did it take?
Here is the timeline of events for us.
- Registration of Application : 26-Nov-24
- Application Approved : 28-Nov-24 (Just in time before our SAS Challenge)
- Biometric Submission : 02-Dec-24
- Final Approval : 02-Dec-24
It took us just 7 days for us to finish the entire process.
